Alcoholic drinks

In real life, water does not make a good combination with alcohol. But words for various alcoholic drinks, surprisingly have their root in Water.

Whisky - water of life
Rum - root word rumbullion  - strong water
Vodka - 'Voda' in russian means water (specifically water of life)
Wine - In the biblical story, Jesus turns water to wine.The word itself is derived from grape vine.

Place names:
Tequila - A place name in mexico where the drink is made
Scotch - Scottish whisky

Gin - dutch word for juniper berries
sake - rice wine (or) distilled beverage
beer - barley
fenny - cashew
Arrack - coconut
